The Clinic is offered through “just breathe . . .” series.

There are few things more beneficial to our self-care than relaxation. Relaxation gives the body a chance to repair, renew, and rejuvenate, allowing all systems the opportunity to re-balance and return to more optimal functioning, and alleviating the negative effects of daily stress on our bodies and in our lives.

This acupuncture series offers a time and space to let our hearts be peaceful. The acupuncture needle acts as, in the words of renowned teacher and peace activist Thich Nhat Hanh, “a bell of mindfulness” bringing awareness to the present moment as we let go of the holdings of the past, stresses of the day, and worries for the future, gently allowing the body to move back into balance.

Freya Farley holds a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture from MUIH. She currently has a Five Element Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine practice at the Evergreen Wellness Center where she specializes in Women’s Health and Fertility, as well as treating a wide variety of symptoms of disharmony through a holistic approach. Freya co-teaches 5 Element Yoga with S.D. Swan at Evergreen, bringing together knowledge of meridian therapy, constitutional and seasonal lifestyle practices and nutritional choices with yoga philosophy
and energy balancing postures.

Tracy Hockmeyer practices Five Element Acupuncture; a nature inspired and based medicine with its fundamental principles based on the movement and energetics of nature. Tracy is inspired by nature in her practice and brings that to her patients. Tracy received her Master’s degree in Acupuncture from the Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH, formerly Tai Sophia) and her Ph.D in Experimental Psychology from Brown University with a background in sleep research.  Tracy is currently active in research and teaching at MUIH.  Tracy specializes in sleep and addressing sleep complaints.  With her background in research and practice as an acupuncturist, Tracy offers a knowledge base from both Eastern and Western medicine.
