Change your consciousness, change your life.

This unique yoga program is specifically designed to support the biological and energetic shifts experienced during seasonal changes. One’s ability to adapt to change is a cornerstone of good health. Seasonal breathing, stretching and tonification practices as well as chakra energizing and sense nourishment help to balance the nervous and endocrine systems that modulate biorhythms. 5 Element principles and lifestyle recommendations will be explored.

Spring classes will be in the Wood Element, the Liver & Gall Bladder meridians, addressing such issues as: blood pressure problems, migraines/headaches, tendon problems, hypoglycemia; Emotional level: difficulty with feelings of anger, aggression, frustration, stagnation. This energetic phase of Spring supports the concepts of action, movement, direction, and strength in clarity, judgement, foresight, and decision.

Summer classes focus on the Fire Element, the Heart & Small Intestine, and Pericardium & Triple  Burner Meridians, addressing such issues as:  impaired circulation of blood and body fluids, cold extremities, insomnia, palpitations, digestive problems.  Emotional level:  difficulty with feelings of control, connection to and relationship with self and others, sadness or depression (lack of joy).  The energetic phase of Summer relates to Radiant Energy at all levels of the body, mind, & spirit.

Late Summer classes focus on the Earth Element (Spleen & Stomach Meridians) addressing such issues as: digestive disorders, abdominal distention, pain or discomfort, eating disorders, lack of appetite, overweight, low energy, lethargy & weakness, cold extremities; on the emotional level: difficulty with feelings of worry, insecurity or ungrounded-ness. The energetic phase of Late Summer relates to Healthy Nourishment at all levels of the body, mind, & spirit.

Fall classes focus on the Metal Element (Lung & Large Intestine Meridians) addressing such issues as: difficulty with elimination, diarrhea or constipation, skin problems, blocked sinuses, or upper respiratory problems; on the emotional level: difficulty in feelings of self–worth, or in letting go of what no longer serves. The energetic phase of Fall relates to Inspiration (taking in) and Elimination (letting go) at all levels of the body, mind, & spirit.

Winter classes will be in the Water Element, the Kidney & Bladder meridians, addressing such issues as: urinary problems (incontinence or retention), kidney stones, swelling & edema or dryness of bodily fluids & dehydration, infertility, headaches, low back ache, sciatica; Emotional level: difficulty with feelings of fear and anxiety.
