Breathe, Relax, Feel, Watch, Allow… This all levels Yoga Class is for practitioners who want to benefit from yoga’s transformative qualities.  The emphasis is on using asana and deep relaxation to integrate body, breath, and mind.  Students practice asana at a level that’s appropriate for them individually, and are gently encouraged to challenge their perceived limitations. Practices are designed to help students strengthen and lengthen connective tissue, tone and strengthen muscles, improve balance, and increase mindfulness.  Instruction will meet students’ individual needs, with frequent assists and modifications offered by the teacher. All students will be guided toward a home practice that can be done during and after the six week class series.

lyndaLynda Barrow comes to Evergreen with over ten years experience teaching yoga, previously having taught in Connecticut.  With a background in public school teaching , she is skilled in differentiating her instruction to meet the various needs of her students.  She has her Yoga Alliance RYT – 500 certification, representing 500 hours of formal training in the instruction of yoga. Beyond this, she has numerous hours spent with yoga teachers from various disciplines and backgrounds. Lynda has developed a personal yoga practice that continues to evolve.  With her years of experience and training and a lifetime of practice, she is able to offer a number of different classes, from advanced to beginners, athletes to philosophers.   Lynda believes that each of us has a personal practice, and her goal is to help you find “Your Yoga”.
