Whether you are an ongoing yoga student or have been thinking about incorporating yoga into your life, the Yoga Enrichment Programs at the Evergreen Center offer opportunities to broaden your experience.
The word YOGA is derived from the Sanskrit root meaning “to yoke or bind”, the union or communion of the personal self to the universal. The Yoga Enrichment Programs at Evergreen offer expanded opportunities for self-study through the relational and transformational aspects of yogic practices, towards a deeper understanding of the interrelatedness of ourselves to a greater whole, including our community, our environment, and the Earth we all share.
Additional to the postures which form the base of Hatha Yoga, practices and topics such as yogic philosophy, meditation, seasonal considerations, personal attunements, the use of food, breath and sound, Karma Yoga (the yoga of action), yoga addressing specific needs, may be explored.

The Yoga Enrichment classes are offered in small groups in the Evergreen Great Room overlooking the south fork of the Tred Avon River. This beautiful four acre sanctuary is located on Easton Point and provides a tranquil space for yoga and other practices for personal growth and health and the health of our environment.
